What is the Social Mood of the Nation Right Now?

There is a great debate going on over the mood of the nation.  Are we upbeat about the future or depressed out our prospects both on the job front and in the general economy.  One of the great thinkers on this wave of emotion driving our future is Robert Prechter, author of a new book: Conquer the Crash: You Can Survive and Prosper in a Deflationary Depression.
