Shutter Island Movie Review

What the heck is going on at the Shutter Island Asylum? Am I crazy or is the government trying to cover up something? Does God really love violence and if so, did he buy a ticket to see this movie?
One Word Movie Review: SLOW
Shutter Island is a dark and dreary journey into the mind of the criminally insane. It bravely treads the line between reality and fantasy, leading audiences to places they don’t traditionally go. If that is your taste in mysteries, then Shutter Island is your kind of movie. For the rest of the audience, I can only echo the man in the row in front of me who exclaimed at the end, “Retarded! That movie sucked!” There is no middle ground here.

  1. There’s some middle ground. I personally hated the end of the movie. Why move so slow for the first 2 hours and then give a speedy explanation in the a last 15 minutes as to what the heck has been going on? But there are some beautiful ( I mean beautifully told because the stories are disturbing) stories and haunting images in there. I like it, save the ending. Anyway, I like your review. Short, sweet and to the point. Check out mine.
